Who we are
Anthill Foundation is founded in 2005 by a team of global change makers with an aim of promoting quality education and health in Uganda. The Foundation has since served under the mission of empowering communities living in extreme poverty with the tools to live self – sustainable and healthy lives through promotion of innovative solutions in the areas of education, health and livelihood. The Anthill Foundation promotes gender responsiveness to ensure safety and participation of all stakeholders within schools, work spaces and community regardless of age to attain meaningful development in Uganda.

We promote gender responsiveness and inclusion in communities and schools to ensure safety and participation of girls, boys, women and men. Programs under education and health impact households, the education and health sector and above all under the Keep Girls Safe and Learning we contribute to mindset change, improved standards of living, better health, ending Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Uganda.

Years Of Experience
WASH particularly focusing on access to safe water, building capacity for behavioral change and refurbishing infrastructure in schools and health facilities. Since 2007, the organization has been conducting annual multi-disciplinary medical outreaches in the remote communities of Manafwa, Busia, Tororo, Mayuge, Kanungu, Lira, and Aleptong districts.
Community health strengthening, promotion of STEM in education, Adolescent health and rights advocacy, child protection, Cost effective construction using the earthbag model, promotion of school reentry for young mothers and young people at risk.
Mentoring and meaningful engagement of duty bearers in the community on addressing social risks that hinder development in Uganda.
